I’ve always been troubled when psychology was used against people.
The same goes for technology — instead of supporting us, it often becomes a tool of manipulation, control, and dehumanization.
That’s why I create differently.
Technology in my projects is meant to help, protect, and support.
It should be like a good companion: quiet, effective, and present when you need it.
Why is it so hard not to drown in the digital ocean?
Because interfaces are designed to attract, hook, and hold on.
Colors, animations, notifications, micro‑interactions — all crafted to capture attention.
It’s no accident that we scroll endlessly.
It’s no accident that we feel uneasy when we’re away from our phones.
It’s the result of deliberate design that uses psychology against the user.
In my work, I try to do the opposite:
– design interfaces that give you room to breathe,
– build technology that supports you,
– create experiences that respect your attention instead of exploiting it.
Technology that cares
The technology I create aims to provide golden means — simple, effective ways to navigate everyday challenges.
Sometimes all it takes is a small nudge, a gentle hint, a subtle push in the right direction.
I also know that trying to limit electronics “by force” only works for a moment.
Restrictions, blocks, cutting yourself off from the world — these are not lasting solutions.
So instead of fighting technology, I look for ways to make it work for the human, not against them.
I explore and implement solutions that support through encouragement and positive guidance.
This is what technology that cares means — technology that looks after the person instead of overwhelming them.
Polar Bear Helps — the first “golden mean”
Polar Bear Helps is the first of my “golden means” — simple, kind tools designed to genuinely help.
It was created for people with disabilities and for those struggling with excessive use of electronics.
Not to restrict, punish, or block.
But to support, encourage, and gently guide — instead of fighting the user.
I believe technology can be like a good guide:
it doesn’t shout, force, or scare — it simply shows the way and gives a small impulse that helps you move forward toward positive change.
Polar Bear Helps works exactly like that.
It doesn’t cut you off from the world — it helps you find your place in it.
It doesn’t fight electronics — it teaches you to use them more wisely.
It doesn’t demand a revolution — a small encouragement is enough.
It’s only the beginning.
But a good beginning.
